General News : 2002+ Gen 3 Toyota Caldina Now Available !

The 1997 to 2005 Toyota Caldina is now available for import to Australia with the famous 2 litre turbocharged (3S-GTE) engine and 4WD....

Under SEVS we get the top of the line GT-T model (ST215W) which comes with the turbocharged 260PS (191kW) 3S-GTE engine, and 4-wheel drive system like the Celica GT-Four. Transmission is either 5 speed manual (about 1 in 10 cars) or tiptronic automatic.

They are eligble for import under SEVS for models built from October 1997 to October 2002, click here for the SEVS Ruling.

Compliance is also available for the ST246W (September 2002 to December 2005 Caldina), so we can source the perfect example for you, whenever you are ready. You can choose from the budget priced 1997 to 2002 ST215W or the sexier ST246W Gen 3 update model.

Prices range between about $9,000 and $17,000 complied for the ST215W, but it all depends on year, kms, condition and spec.

The September 2002+ ST246W Caldina is a pure sports wagon with all-new body styling while the engine is the same 2 litre turbo 3S-GTE with 4WD. With the discontinuation of the Celica, the Caldina is one of sportiest Toyotas available in Japan, and now Australia.

Prices start from about $20,000 complied for a nice clean 2002 / 03 example with under 60,000 kms. An as new 2005 model with under 10,000 kms will be in the mid to high $20,000's price range. There was no manual transmission option for the ST246W, all are automatic.

Engines for lesser models are the 1.8 litre 7A-FE, 2.0 litre 3S-FE, and 2.2 litre diesel 3C-TE, but these are not eligible for import to Australia.
