General News : Chasing a Chaser 5 speed ?

Ahh, the elusive JZX100 5 speed. YES, we can source some fantastic examples to order, completely standard or tastefully modified, it's your choice...

JZX100 Chasers in 5 speed manual are particularly sought after worldwide which pushes the prices up to sometimes amazing heights. Mark 2 JZX100's are also popular, but are not quite as favoured as the Chaser.

Prices vary widely but as a guide, the best price currently for a decent 1996 / 97 model JZX100 5 speed with about 120,000 kms but still in very clean grade 4.0 condition is from about $17,500 complied, which equates to a budget of about 940,000 yen FOB and will see you fully on road for about $19,500 (this includes ALL costs from start to finish).

If you want lower kms, such as 70,000 kms for the same vehicle, then allow from about $20,000 complied.

Now, if you want a 1998 to 2002 model in 5 speed, then be prepared for a big budget. These can sell for over 2 million yen FOB ($29,000 complied) and sometimes there is just no telling what the auction will push the price to.

Auto JZX100's are much cheaper and are the best value for money, prices start from as low as about $12,500 complied for a decent example and not much more for one with low kms and in pristine condition.
