Compliance for the V36 coupe has just become available.
The SEVS ruling allows the 370GT coupe and the 350GT 4-door sedan to be imported to Australia. At this stage compliance is available for the 370GT coupe in auto transmission. The 6 speed manual transmission coupe and the 350GT sedan still require further testing which should make them available for import by early 2009.
The SEVS ruling can be seen here.
The V36 coupe was released in Japan on October 2nd 2007.
Four specifications of the coupe were available in Japan — the 370GT, Type-P, Type-S and Type SP — all ranging in price and options.
Performance is improved over the previous model thanks to a newly developed 3.7-litre V6 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift).
Other improvements have been made in the areas of emissions, handling, braking, driver and pedestrian safety.
The transmission options are a 6 speed manual or 5 speed electronic automatic that incorporates “Adaptive Shift Control,” revising shifts according to driving style and environment.
